I’m the proud owner of Balloon Power, Lucy Hennessy CBA.
I first got hooked on balloons in 2001 after attending & City & Guilds balloon course. I then followed onto the second year and won student of the year. I’ve now taught City & Guild Balloon Display levels 1,2,3 at Capel Manor College for over five years.
As a Certified Balloon Artist I pride myself on my work and giving clients something a little different. I’m a Qualatex approved Instructor (QAI)which allows me to teach future balloon professionals across the Uk and the rest of the world. I’ve been to Holland, Italy, Romania and Hungary in the past to learn and teach new skills.
I’ve competed in international balloon competitions and won a variety of awards in the UK, including Nabas Decorator of the year 2006 and came runner up in the IPS Competition twice for large sculpture.As an addition to the balloons, I’ve also studied floristry to National Certificate level 2.
In 2006 my sister Katy Power became the latest addition to Balloon Power.
Katy is a truly amazing florist. Her work is edgy and creative, with a background in fashion, Katy prides herself on being different and creating one off bespoke decor.
Katy studied floristry at the renowned Capel Manor College to Advanced National Certificate Level 3 and also Balloon Display level 2 .
Combining both our balloon and floristry skills allows Balloon Power to provide unique decor to suit all tastes.
Working to all kinds of budgets accommodating lavish events to more simple celebrations to create one off bespoke designs that will definitely wow your guests.
